Playing the emotional card I see... Look guys, I understand your frustration, but it it is up to the game to sort this out.
We didn't do anything that was illegal in the game. It was a scenario that had not happened before, so it is actually a good thing that it has happened now, so F1FG can sort out how to prevent this in the future. This will make the game better.
I think we need to look at this in a calmer and more rational matter.
Take this scenario for instance: someone who plays this game in a more casual matter and is less involved like we all are, he has a team with Mercedes chassis and motor. Also he likes Russell and he has him in his team. He doesn't see the news in time, so his team still has Russell in it when he changes from Williams to Mercedes...
Lets think about this for the future instead of jumping to emotional and frustrated conclusions.

Is it fair to punish him? I don't think so.
It is up to the game to put some mechanism in place to prevent this from happening in the future. Or maybe we should just agree this is a loophole that might happen very rarely. But punishing players for some flaw in the game is simply not fair.
I think this problem could just have been prevented by locking the game for a short period while the news still had to be confirmed. Then give players that would have come in the position of three team parts a warning that their team needs to be adapted. And in case they might not see it in time (see the case I mentioned before), give them the chance to adapt their team after the deadline, and let them exchange the problem-part to a legal part after the race...Lets think about this for the future instead of jumping to emotional and frustrated conclusions.
