 Yes, I feel the same way. Came to the same conclusion. I think things might equalize around the 8-12 spots though because those guys may battle it out this season. But you are right, by the later parts of the season, no one will have Mercedes drivers or the next two probably because they will be too expensive or you just won't be playing anymore.  Or you will have to downgrade to enter with a driver, chassis and engine that don't score points. Maybe it would be better if every driver got points each race and there is just more spread, and the cutoff for drivers to lose value is 15 so the bottom bottom or DNFs only lose value.
