Frenchman Sebastien Bourdais has earned a second year at Toro Rosso, reducing British driver Jenson Button's hopes of staying in Formula One.

BMW Sauber F1 driver Nick Heidfeld has one clear goal for the upcoming Formula One season: winning the F1 title. Heidfeld has yet to celebrate his first victory at the highest level of autosport but according to the German his main target for 2009 is not even winning his first race, but winning the F1 championship.

The BMW Sauber F1 Team has launched its car for the 2009 Formula One season at Valencia circuit de la Comunitata. The BMW Sauber F1.09 was unveiled on the start-finish straight, before Robert Kubica took it out on the track for its first installation lap.

Renault and Williams both gave their 2009 cars their first public outings on Monday morning at the start of this week’s multi-team test session at the Algarve Motor Park circuit in Portugal.
